MSS International was established in 1978 as a Global provider of software products and services for users of Burroughs/Unisys mainframe systems. MSS offers solutions covering all aspects of re-engineering, tuning and porting legacy systems. It is a recognised leader in assisting companies to move applications platforms and has successfully tackled varying and complicated conversions both large and small, several of which have been deemed impossible by other organisations.

During its lifetime, MSS has been owned by a number of leading financial institutions while they used its resources on an exclusive basis to carry out complex platform migrations. In November 1998, Maurice Shnaps a key principal in MSS since its founding, purchased the migration aspects of the company (including the Intellectual Property in the software tools) from Nat West Bank and re-launched MSS International as an independent entity. The comany's mission is to give customers the best return on their investment in legacy applications by converting them to newer languages on more cost-effective platforms.

The company headquarters are in Klosters, Switzerland.
